Magic in the year 2020
We’re not even a full two months through the year and already we have enough Magic releases this year to break even the most reinforced of banks.
Theros: Beyond Death Myth-Direction
like about Theros: both the original set and this return are absolutely jam packed with lore and
references, great art and very powerful cards. All three of those points will be being touched on
throughout this article where I'm going to be taking a look at all of the Mythic Rares from Theros
Beyond Death and breaking them down to see if they really are as powerful as they may first look.

Banned and Restricted update
It’s official, Oko is no longer a threat to none powered formats. No longer will he terrorise the battlefield, Elks everywhere, making every game gradually more and more tedious. He’s gone. End of.

MTG Arena Updates
You've all probably come across Magic Arena by now, be that because you actually play the game or because of the many, many adverts all over Youtube or websites like Kotaku or Gamespot.
For those of you that somehow don't know what Magic Arena is: Arena is a digital platform version of the very popular Trading Card Game, Magic: The Gathering. Some of you might be saying "but wasn't there already a digital version of Magic: The Gathering?" to which you may be referring to Magic Online - or possibly Duels of the Planeswalkers, but forget about that one. Magic Online was an earlier digital version of the TCG yes but one that had a dodgy interface, slow loading times and a very warped economy. Arena has a much more user friendly interface and even includes animations of the card art when you cast them, adding to the immersion somewhat, oh and it's also free.

Guilds of Ravnica Set Review - White
We're back on the city plane of Ravnica. It's tall spire-tipped buildings reaching up through the clouds housing many a delegate of different guilds, people bustling past each other along the bridges and streets below and, even further down, the underbelly of Ravnica, dwell nefarious, shadowy figures that are probably best to avoid if you value your life.

Guilds of Ravnica Primer
A plane ravaged by warring factions for centuries brought together under an agreement, ten guilds built from those factions now committed by the Guildpact to live peacefully side by side in order to survive. The Azorius Senate, the governmental body of Ravnica judicial system keeping everyone in check. The Boros Legion, the proclaimed peacekeepers of Ravnica set with a task to protect the Guildpact. The House Dimir, an undercity organisation that many believe to have disbanded, running the black market and lurking in the shadows. The Cult of Rakdos, a fun-loving if a bit mad group that kill for the thrill and don’t tend to ask questions. The Golgari Swarm, a guild that lives through Ravnica and I mean “lives”, they reside in the soil and make the most of Ravnicans that have come to an end, charitably put, recycling. The Gruul Clans, once the rulers of Ravnica’s wildlands now devolved to a group of brutes. The Izzet League, mad scientist would be putting it nicely, as knowledgeable as they are with machinery their hubris can sometimes get the best of them. The Orzhov Syndicate, dedicated to controlling what goes through Ravnica but House Dimir isn’t the only one that prefers being behind the curtain. The Selesnya Conclave, peace, protection and pride are crucial to them and their numbers are many if you’re paying attention. The Simic Combine, creatures are versatile and adaptable and the Simic strive to find the extent of the possibilities.
