Hidden Stockpile
I like token makers and Hidden Stockpile has the potential to be quite good. Unfortunately, with Revolt you have to find a way to trigger it each turn but fear not, it comes with one built it. Sacrificing a creature to get extra information can be very powerful for any deck and Hidden Stockpile gives you that as part of its way to trigger Revolt. The downside to the Revolt on this card is that it only trigger at the end of your turn, rending some of the power of the Scry diminished. In multiples though, Hidden Stockpile could get very out of hand especially with the amount of small tokens you can make throughout Kaladesh and Aether Revolt. Not good enough for constructed but it could be fun in limited.
Maverick Thopterist
Five mana for four powers worth of creatures is about on curve, mainly for blue. Maverick Thopter's Improvise keyword means you could be powering this out early and making a good amount of creatures for the defensive or putting a dent in your opponents life total. The Thopters it creates can also be used to Improvise out future spells so Maverick Thopterist to me sits in a fast UR deck that focuses more on attacking and damage than card or board advantage, though Thopterist does provide some board advantage.
Outland Boar
A big, powerful, aggressive creature. Outland Boar is just the creature you want to see when you're looking like you're in a RG strategy and in multiples could just steamroll your opponent. A lot of creatures in this limited format are a bit on the small side when it comes to power, meaning Outland Boar can just charge straight past them and smash for four.
Renegade Rallier
This is a nice little effect. Another value card, Renegade Rallier is aggressive, great on the defense and, if played right, nets you back a one or two drop from the yard. Imagine, like earlier, Unbridled Growth turn one, sac it and drop a 4/3 Greenwheel Liberator on turn two, attack for four with your Liberator and if its blocked and trades, play Renegade Rallier on turn three to get it back triggering the Revolt on the Liberator once again. What a nice curve that would be, I could even see this guy in constructed maybe in a tokens pump deck, dropping Oath of Ajani into another Oath of Ajani and Renegade Rallier to get one back, pumping your creatures three times altogether.
Renegade Wheelsmith
Renegade Wheelsmith's ability can be very aggressive, if its a stand off you can get through for three damage, triggering the "cant block" ability just for attacking, multiples can be devastating. Late on in the game, you can use Renegade Wheelsmith to Crew your Vehicles and get the effect that way, clearing the way for whatever Vehicle to plow through. A nice card to see in limited if you're looking to be the aggressive player.
Rogue Refiner
Probably the best value card in Aether Revolt, three mana, 3/2, draws you a card and nets you two energy. At first I could really believe this card, it gives you so much. Always play this in limited and obviously is nuts in multiples, constructed may even get a look at Rogue Refiner in a tempo deck or maybe an aggro deck just on its three power for three mana stats.
Spire Patrol
It locks down a creature for a turn and fly's over any others that are still untapped, Spire Patrol is another great tempo card that can give you a turn of time in the late game and can really take over a game if dropped early. Another creature that can help clear the way in limited for any vehicles that it can also help crew.
Tezzeret's Touch
Another aura that turns your Vehicles into creature permanently and changes its stats, in some cases making it more formidable that originally thought. Bucking the trend of auras in the past of being bad cards resulting in two for ones, if the artifact this enchants dies, you get it back to play it again. A limited all-star, there could even be enough potential for this to creep into constructed.
Weldfast Engineer
Weldfast Engineer is another very aggressive creature that rewards your artifact creatures with additional power. Needless to say this resides in limited and probably no where else, but in multiples Weldfast Engineer could get very out of hand. Giving any artifact creature +4/+0 is really good no matter what the starting stats where. It will get in and do some damage, probably trading with a lot of creatures it faces while additionally being great on the block.
Winding Constrictor
More additional counters! Winding Constrictor comes down early and just does work from that moment. Any +1/+1 counters, any counters heading for your artifacts and even energy counters you will be gaining will be increased. In a heavy +1/+1 counters deck, Winding Constrictor will be insane and in multiples will be ridonculous and as two mana 2/3 will probably hold the ground and maybe even trade up if you can pump it. You will love this in limited and definitely will see constructed play.
All of the Multicolored cards done with, the only cards left to look at are all the mighty Artifacts, and Land, in Aether Revolt. Check back soon for that, but until then keep checking Game Changers for more news and updates.
